MOTIVATIONS THAT LED TO THE CREA- TION OF THE ITALIAN COMMITTEE

• In Italy the diffusion of polyurea is high,

since, Italy is perhaps the nation where the polyurea has spread before , and in larger amounts .

• The growth of the market , unfortunately,

has allowed many companies to operate

• utside the rules of good practice.

• There have been many failures, derived

from superficiality , lack of knowledge of the problems , in short, the polyurea was considered a material and not a system .

• Two years ago, the undersigned has
• rganized a round table in Italy to discuss

the opportunity to acquire valuable tools to bring order to this market and more precisely :

• 1 . Rules of ethical behavior
• 2 . Technical rules for the success of a job

in polyurea

• 3 . The creation of a code of good practice
• 4 . The possibility of offering serious

guarantees , through an insurance policy , which is guaranteed by a third party " non- partisan

• It is thought that being able to reach all of these

points , the Italian market could take a proper direction.

• Initially it was decided to create an Italian

Organism, with the agreement of PDAE , then I thought it would be better to create an Italian Committee, within the PDAE , with the hope that each nation had its own committee , which aims to handle the matter according to the rules of

their own market.

• The Italian Committee , has set the code
• f good practice , entrusting to individual

affiliates, an ar-gument, then the whole thing to be assembled into a single harmonious document

• This work is almost over , and if the PDAE

share what has been done , we will have the CODE OF GOOD PRACTICE of PDAE

• Future initiatives will be to spread it

through round tables, small seminars , for engineers, architects , professional

• rganizations. Etc.
• The most important thing is the absolute

harmony of the members of the committee. Now expect other countries to do the same
