nior Year r – British Literature & novel studies in contemporary fiction & non fiction. We read everything from Beowulf and Macbeth to Catcher in the Rye and 1984!
■ 2-3 MAJOR papers per semester including instruction in writing argumentative, informative, narrative, and research essays. ■ DAILY writing in all classes including creative responses, journals, reflection, and analysis. ■ AKS based writing assessments at each level ■ Writing instruction includes practice writing for the Gateway and Milestone essays in grades 9-11.

genres of journalistic writing: Sports, Features, Opinions, News, and
