Dual Enrollment

 Dual Enrollment Program is available to high school students in

grades 9-12

 Students earn high school and college credit  Students must meet admission requirements of college/university

they’re interested in attending (age, test scores, GPA etc.)

 If your student is interested in taking dual enrollment classes at

CTC in the spring they will need to take the ACCU-Placer which will be offered here at MHS on October 17 & 18, 2018. Sign up TBA.

download four college application fee waivers directly from SAT website

  • Students are given a total of 2 fee waivers for the SAT & ACT. If

College Visits to MHS

COLLEGE VISITS ARE FOR STUDENTS ONLY

Visits during class time are ONLY for Juniors and Seniors. Freshmen and Sophomores can only visit during their lunch periods.

Students must sign up for college visits (at least one hour before the visit) through their Naviance Student account. STUDENTS MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND.

 Please print the reminder/confirmation page and bring it to school with you or

you can print beforehand at school. If you forget to print your pass, you can show your teacher your green registration status on your phone in Naviance. Your teacher will then write you a pink pass. Either your printed pass from Naviance or your pink pass from your teacher will allow you into the college

  • visit. It is always up to the teacher whether you will be able to leave class to

attend these sessions.

 Visits are 30 minutes and will be held at the beginning of every period.

College visits will mostly be held in the Seminar Room or A226 unless

  • therwise noted. Only 30 minutes will be excused and students are responsible

for any missed work.

GHP Opportunity Governor’s Honors Program

 http://gosa.georgia.gov/governors-honors-program  GHP is a four-week, summer residential program designed to

provide intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students challenging and enriching educational opportunities at Berry College, Rome Ga.

 The Georgia Governor's Honors Program is fully funded by the

Georgia General Assembly and operates at no cost to participants.

 Students are nominated by teachers. Timeline for 2018-2019 has

not been posted.
