  4. Distance Learning Schedules 2020-2021 Distance Learning 3

  5. A typical school day… As you look over the next few slides with the daily schedule, know that these are ● required instructional minutes. This does NOT mean that your student will be on the screen this entire time. If you think about an in-school model, the teacher will provide direct instruction (lecture) on a topic, move into small-group and/or guided instruction and then release students to work independently. What does this mean for home? Students will have a combination of synchronous ● (live interaction with teacher and/or classmates) and asynchronous (offline) work to complete throughout the day. A teacher’s individual schedule will be provided on August 10th during the Meet the ● Teacher and Supply Pickup Drive-thru. Please remember that with anything, our schedules are flexible in that they are based off of student need. They may fluctuate slightly as we get into the swing of things. However, you can anticipate that students will be engaged in learning for the number of minutes required. A typical day 4

  6. Class Schedules Class schedules will vary depending on your child’s teacher. Although you can expect the same amount of instructional minutes for each of your children, exact times for whole group, Google Meets, small group, or independent instruction may vary. Copies of the schedule will be proved to you on August 10th when your child picks up materials. Class Schedules 5
