Kil ilmarnock Academy - Transition • Transition from primary to secondary is a major milestone. “Moving into first year was scary when I was in P7. I was most worried about meeting new people and the work being hard. I loved the days in June though and was looking forward to starting. Now, I like secondary so much better. I have new friends and I’m learning cool new stuff. There’s really nothing to worry about.” (S1 pupil, Kilmarnock Academy)

Date Activity Key Information Tuesday 5 th Safer Internet Day All P7s at Kilmarnock February Academy for a morning of 2019 events focusing on internet safety. 9.20-11.35am. Wednesday Expressive Arts Day All P7s at Kilmarnock 8 th May 2019 Academy for a day of dance, drama, music and art. All day event. Gym kit and packed lunch required.

Kil ilmarnock Academy – P7 In Induction Days • Induction days take place on Wednesday 5 th , Thursday 6 th and Friday 7th June 2019. • Wednesday and Thursday will be an exciting opportunity to follow S1 timetable and meet classmates and staff. • Friday will be a day of sporting events at Ayrshire Athletics Arena.
