  • The District Wide Set Asides page are for “off the top” set asides that will

reduce your total allocation. For example, if you have received a total allocation of $400,000 and set aside $10,000 for parent involvement, you would be able to allocate $390,000 to your schools.

  • If your allocation is more than $500,000 you are required to set 1% of the

funds for parental involvement.

  • Any funds set aside in parental involvement or professional

development, will give your non-public schools an equitable share for each student.

  • Homeless Set Aside – This amount is for homeless students who attend non-Title I
  • schools. All LEA’s are now required to complete the Title I, Part A Homeless

  • If you are a school corporation that receives more than $500,000, under ESSA the

required set aside has been changed from 95% to 90% used at the school level.

  • Schools will be listed from highest poverty to lowest. In order to be in

compliance with “rank and serving” requirements, the highest poverty school should receive the most funds, followed by the next highest, etc.

  • Poverty data is based on reported Free/Reduced lunch data from October

RT report

  • A method to qualify must be identified using drop down box of options
  • Funds reserved for parental involvement can be added to school

allocation, but are not calculated as part of PPE

  • If funds are allocated on the Eligible Schools Summary page, the Public

School Information pages will appear and need to be completed.

among more than one participating school

  • Consultation forms must be submitted for all schools identified

within district, even if services are declined

  • Consultation may be required for schools outside district if

teachers who work in high poverty, Title I schools

  • The Total Program Budget is an aggregate of ALL budgets in

the application (i.e., districtwide administrative, districtwide “off- the-top”, public schools, non-public schools, and neglected).

  • No changes can be made on the Total Program Budget page.

Changes can be made on the individual budget pages.

  • Districts may have included an indirect cost rate (on District

Information page), which will be calculated here. Districts must first apply to the IDOE for a Restricted Indirect Cost Rate.

  • At least 85% of new funds must be budgeted for approval.
