Core Youth Programs Estimate $35,000 per year: ❖ Interact Club: NWSS grades 8-12 ❖ Rotaract Club: Young Adults (typically university) ❖ International Youth Exchange: Gr 10 & 11 ❖ RYLA: Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, 3 age groups ❖ Scholarships & Bursaries: $15,300 / year ❖ Adventure Programs: Grades 10-12

  4. NW Interact Club 50+ Interact Clubs in District 5040 ❖ NW Club has100+ members, 50 active members ❖ Co-presidents 2020 Michelle Pern & Sophia Sun ❖

  5. NW Rotaract Club 30 NW members, meet bi-monthly ❖ Co-presidents 2020/21, Maria & Katherine Korovnikov ❖ Groceries delivery project during COVID-19 ❖

International Youth Exchange Grade 10 or 11 students live and □ study in another country for a year Europe, Asia, Australia, South □ America Attend school, become fluent in a □ second language Billeted with 3-4 host families that □ are CRC screened. We send 1-2 students each year & □ receive 1-2 students each year Rotary provides for school fees & □ room & board. Students are responsible for □ airfare, insurance, travel documents, spending money

RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Award: RYLA SOUTH (Ages 16-18) – District 5040 March, 2021 in Gibson's, BC ❖ RYLA is a fun, action packed, all expenses paid training program for youth that focuses on leadership, citizenship and personal growth. ❖ NW Rotary Clubs sponsor 8-10 students every year ($4,200). The 4-day camp consists of interactive workshops, teambuilding exercises, presentations from professional speakers, hands on service projects and many fun team building activities!

  8. $15,300 Scholarships & Bursaries $4,500 - Stewart Graham ❖ Scholarship - Academic $2,000 - Don McKenzie ❖ Scholarship - Service $1,300 - BCIT Bursary ❖ Trades $1,500 x 3 Rotary Bursaries ❖ $1,000 x 3 Rotary Bursaries ❖ ❖ Awarded annually ❖ Students are interviewed
