Why Track Hours?

  • In order to qualify for the MDSE (Maryland State

Department of Education) Certificate, MES must have twice the number of volunteer hours as students in

  • ur schools.
  • For example, if we have 700 students in our schools, we

must have at least 1400 volunteer hours to qualify for the certificate.

  • Why is this important – earning this certificate assists

in earning grants and funding for our schools!!
