Key achievements since last EUNDB/Taskforce reporting (June 2016)

• OMS system went live internally at EMA on 24 October (Release 1) 

– All data loaded from 5 different source systems (xEVMPD, EudraGMDP, ECD, SAP & SME) – EMA Data Stewards have started to cleanse and consolidate organisations data

• API interface has been released in TEST environment 

– Finalised API documentation published in October – AT and IE NCAs have started to have an initial test before it is used for UAT

• EU Survey Portal put in place to set up for the UAT test reporting 

– Draft Test cases designed in preparation for the UAT

Locations mastering linked to consolidated organisations (with LOC-IDs)

De-duplication (merging) of locations under the same organisation Merging is done manually through tasks generated by the tool Addresses validated and with Geo coordinates if verified

Organisations de-duplication (merging) is under way (with ORG-IDs)

Organisation data compared after it goes through cleansing and some standardisation Merging is done manually through tasks generated by the tool Organisation naming standard applied e.g. legal entity acronyms, title casing, etc. Locations are grouped under consolidated organisation (no de-duplication)

Mastering of Organisation data in stages (Prior to go live)

• Organisation naming
• In different languages (EN preferred, others as ‘translations’)
• Business entity types standardised (per country)
• Address verification for Locations
• Provided by the Informatica tool
• Telephone and email address standardisation
• OMS data quality standards (document) being drafted
• Document to be discussed in a subgroup TC (during January)
• Standard will be ‘fine tuned’ in the future as required
