  8. ENDURANCE COACHING REPORT 2017 Coaching Team - Jacqui Maxwell, Ian Wilson, Sarah Steer, Martin Doherty, Ian Millgate Training ❖ Good progress made throughout the year from both our experienced and newer runners and it’s good to see people improve and appreciate the coaching support. ❖ Attendance @ MPT is between 20-30 on most Tue nights and the format works well, with people moving up or down the 4-5 pacing groups depending on fitness levels. There is super camaraderie at the track, it hurts, but we all hurt together and there’s always a great sense of achievement after each session. The sessions can be used for various distances from 5K to marathon. People who attend on a regular basis see the results, it’s pure and simple. ❖ Sunday club runs have been relaunched led by Martin Doherty. ❖ People now know to post their runs throughout the week so there are various opportunities to join training runs whether they be coached or non-coached to suit the majority of members. Plans & Coaching ❖ Various plans have been produced throughout the year for half and full marathons to target specific races and times. ❖ The monthly plans have been delivered on time by the various coaches and these have been used to target 5K, 10K, XC and the CC races. ❖ Coaches Development: Jacqui & Ian W completing their Coach in Running Fitness qualification (Level 2) on 9 Dec. 8
