Knight • Volume 1 required for PHYS 111. • If you plan to also take PHYS 121 in second term, you’ll also need the material from volume 2. • You can purchase the full textbook which contains all of the material from volumes 1 and 2.

PHYS 111 - September 4, 2019 Tutorials • If you have not completed grade-12 physics, you must be registered in one of the tutorial sections. • If you have completed grade-12 physics, you have the option of registering in the XM2 tutorial section and being exempted from the tutorials. • Tutorials will start the week of September 16.

PHYS 111 - September 4, 2019 Labs • You must be registered in one of the lab sections. • You must purchase a PHYS 111 lab manual from the GreenText and More Bookstore located in UNC 103 . • There are pre-lab assignments for each lab (located in the lab manual). They are due at the start of the lab . • If you have previously taken PHYS 111 at UBCO and received a lab grade of 60% or higher, you have the option of registering in the XM1 section. Doing so will transfer your previously-obtained lab score to the current course and you will be exempted from the labs. You must apply for the exemption no later than Sept. 13.
