What is myDesire2Learn? • Desire2Learn hosted ePortfolio service for students who are graduating from their school and would like to retain and continue to use their ePortfolio after graduation. • Students can export their ePortfolio to myDesire2Learn and continue to collect artifacts, create presentations and share their evidence of achievement with others. • This is a free service offered by Desire2Learn. • Individuals are provided 2GB of storage space.

Who are myDesire2Learn Users? • ePortfolio Higher Education and K-12 Schools • Specifically: Graduating students who are using ePortfolio today • These students will have used ePortfolio at their school and would like to keep their work after graduation. • In addition to keeping their ePortfolio after graduation, these students may also want to continue editing their work, adding new content, creating more presentations and sharing their accomplishments with their peers.

Students will create an EduDentity account when they create their myDesire2Learn account. o What version of ePortfolio does myDesire2Learn support? o ePortfolio v4.0, SP 8 (March 2013) or higher is required for successful import of ePortfolio content into myDesire2Learn. o What version of ePortfolio is myDesire2Learn? o Currently, myDesire2Learn is running ePortfolio v4.2.

  7. Popular Q&A… o Can students contact other alumni in myDesire2Learn? o Yes, it is possible for students to contact other students in myDesire2Learn. They can search for their contacts under “Sharing Groups” to see if they are in myDesire2Learn. o After a student exports their ePortfolio to myDesire2Learn does this deactivate their ePortfolio account? No, myDesire2Learn receives a copy of the student’s ePortfolio o work which they have selected to export. It does not deactivate their ePortfolio account nor does it delete any content from ePortfolio .

Popular Q&A… o Will the school know when a student has created their myDesire2Learn account or exported their work from ePortfolio? o No, myDesire2Learn does not record the source of activations so we do not know what school a student has come from to create their account. Likewise, we do not monitor what students have imported ePortfolio work into their myDesire2Learn account.
