q Since the launch of its civilian-led government , Myanmar

has set its national development vision as the successful landing of a market economy. To this end, the country has specified the promotion of investment and trade and the expansion of private investment as its economic policy goals.

q The current government of Myanmar aims to achieve

people-centered, inclusive and sustainable development, where economic development serves “national reconciliation,” prioritizing job creation, diversifying its economy away from the natural resource sector, and “balanced development” across states and regions.
