My Background • Grew up in River Vale, NJ • I have two younger brothers My Experience • Graduated from Montclair State University undergrad • Bachelor’s in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Family Services, double minor in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology and Psychology. • Master of Arts in Teaching with a Dual Certification of teaching K-6 and Teacher of Studies with Disabilities from Montclair State University • Student Teacher at Mackay last year!   3. Our Schedule Monday- Spanish and P .E. Tuesday – Library Wednesday – Music Thursday – P .E. Friday – Spanish and Art • Please wear sneakers on P .E. days! • Please return library books on Tuesdays!

Policy: • Homework will be assigned Mon day ( no Monday-Th Thurs rsda homework over the weekend ) • Students are to re daily in a comfortable spot to read d da nurture their love of reading! • Students will receive spelling and math homework throughout the week. • Spelling tests are give ven on Fr Fridays!

Classroom Expectations • Classroom Rules and Expect ctations • We decided these as a classroom community • “C “Caught D Doing G Good” j jar • I reward students when they go above and beyond the classroom expectations by putting pom-poms in our “Caught Doing Good” jar. • The students decide as a class what they are working towards. • Pom-Poms are NEVER taken away from the class – once they are earned, they stay! • Logica cal co consequence ces are give ven when rules are broken. • 1.   9. Final Thoughts 1. Read, read, read! 2. Encourage independence 3. Support classroom expectations 4. But, most importantly… Your children are so special to me!
