What is a potential graduate?

A potential grad is a student who has completed

courses or is enrolled in all of the courses which are required for them to graduate. What is a transcript?

This is a record of student's marks that have been earned by the student either at Avon View High School, through summer school, correspondence, virtual school studies or transferred credits from another school.

Course drops and the impact on a student’s transcript:

To drop a first semester course: before October 2nd, no visible impact on

  • transcript. After October 2nd, WD (withdrawn) will appear on the

student’s transcript next to the course name.

Last day to drop a yearlong course without a WD showing on transcript: October 22nd

Last possible day to drop a course for 1st semester: December 18th

Course changes for 2nd semester: Before December break Can I upgrade a course mark or repeat a course next semester if I am not successful?

Unfortunately, in most cases, no. Many courses in the 2nd semester are presently full to capacity. The student would re-take the course next

  • year. This can potentially delay graduation.
