Citizenship and Immigration Canada website as their most reliable resource www.cic.ca.
- Current requirements: letter of acceptance, proof of
funds, study permit fee, passport and custodianship agreement.
- Americans can currently apply for study permits at their
port of entry.

– Edunova Airport Welcome program in August/September in Halifax – Each school offers a welcome and orientation program. Many of these are prior to the arrival of Domestic students and include both Academic programming as well as social and orientation activities
- Academic Support and Resources
– Writing Centres, Health & Counselling Centres, Accessible Learning, Faculty Office hours, Resident Assistants, Peer Groups, Tutoring
- Clubs and Societies
– Universities have hundreds of societies available to students that include academic, humanitarian, social activity based, and many others. They are encouraged as a great way to get involved on campus.

- Through provincial and federal support the Canadian
government aims to make post-secondary education accessible for domestic students
- In each of Canada’s 10 provinces and 3 territories there is
legislation in place to establish, govern and recognize the quality of post- education programming in that province or territory
- Two types of post-secondary institutions, public and
private, with varying levels of involvement from government bodies
