Meals and Dietary Needs

Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs Bacon/Sausage Biscuits Fruit and Yogurt Grits/Oatmeal/Assorted cereals Water, Juice and Milk Lunch: Taco Shells (Flour and Corn) Relish Tray (Lettuce, Cheese) RIce, Refried Beans, Salsa Taco Meat Salad Bar/Fresh Fruit Juice, Water and Milk

  • November can be warm or chilly! Planning to pack layers is best.
  • What we recommend to leave at home:

○ Cell phones and electronic devices. ○ Knives ○ Candy, food or gum ○ Hair Dryers, Curling irons ○ Jewelry ○ Anything of value

What to Bring

  • Set of clothes for each day (Including socks, underwear, pjs and at least one

pair of long pants, more if the weather is cool)

  • Two pairs of closed toed shoes (one that can get muddy/wet)
  • Sweater or light jacket
  • Rain Coat or Poncho
  • Water bottle (a must)
  • Toiletries
  • Cold Weather gear - heavy jacket, gloves, hat, wool socks
  • Optional - Journal, sunglasses, camera/film, flashlight, book bag, hat, bag

First Aid and Safety

  • All Staff are 1st aid and CPR certified.
  • Some staff have a Wilderness First Responder Certification.
  • The hospital is 15 minutes from campus.
  • 911 emergency response is typically ~5-10 minutes from care.
  • There are a few urgent care centers in town as well, they are 10-20 minutes

from campus.

Lodging

  • Linens are provided (Pillow, sheets, blanket)
  • 1 Towel is provided per participant (Students and Adults)
  • Cabins have separate adult and student bathrooms.
  • Each of the cabin unit holds 16 students and 4 adults. With the Adult beds in

their own room.

  • There are typically two cabin units per cabin.
  • All of our cabins are winterized and utilize solar hot water heaters
