™ LLC Pent USAThe chemicals present in mosquito repellents are many with varying degrees of toxicity. While generally safe
for adults, the long-term effects have not been well-documented and many are not recommended for pregnant women or children. A lengthy list of common chemicals in mosquito repellents include: DEET (n-n-diethylnetatoluamide), Picaridin, KBR3023, IR3535 (ethyl butylacetylaminopropionate) ethyl hexanediol, diethyl phthalate, diethyl carbate, and metofluthrin. IR3535 seems to be relatively safe but is not nearly as effective as DEET and there is some question as to safety to children. IR3535 is not recommended for pregnant women and even a more natural product ‘Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus’ is no longer recommended for pregnant women. MosquitoPaQ™LLC uses only those natural ingredients approved by the EPA in the minimum risk category for repellents. MosquitoPaQ™LLC active ingredients include Soy Bean Oil, Citronella, Pepper Mint, and
Formula exceeds DEET in repellency. Independent testing at Florida State University over 5 time periods to 6 hours demonstrated that the average for all five periods showed repellency of 94.54 % for the MosquitoPaQ™LLC ANYTIME™ Lotion compared to 86.52 % for DEET. At the 6-hour time period the MosquitoPaQ™LLC ANYTIME™ Lotion was 96.8 % effective compared to DEET at 87.1 %. Hence, MosquitoPaQ™LLC ANYTIME™ Lotion, a natural, non-toxic repellent lotion, exceeds DEET in repellency. These tests were carried out in a more rigorous environment than a natural environment in that the mosquitoes were confined in small 2 inch chambers with a blood meal present. While at 6-hours in these chambers 96.8% did not seek blood, field research over the past 3 years has shown 100% repellency well beyond this 6 hour period in trying environments like the Cagayan Valley in the Philippines where workers were 100% protected to 10 hours.

Zika virus is spread to people through mosquito bites. The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting from several days to a week. Severe disease requiring hospitalization is uncommon. A possible link between Zika virus infection in pregnant women and subsequent birth defects is being investigated in Brazil.
Outbreaks of Zika have occurred in areas of Africa, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and the Americas. Because the Aedes species mosquitoes that spread Zika virus are found throughout the world, it is likely that outbreaks will spread to new countries. In December 2015, Puerto Rico reported its first confirmed Zika virus case. Locally transmitted Zika has not been reported elsewhere in the United States, but cases of Zika have been reported in returning travelers.
There is no vaccine to prevent or medicine to treat Zika. Travelers can protect themselves from this disease by taking steps to prevent mosquito bites. When traveling to countries where Zika virus or other viruses spread by mosquitoes have been reported, use insect repellent, wear long sleeves and pants, and stay in places with air conditioning or that use window and door screens.

scientific research. These innovative products work with nature and the mosquito’s metabolism to ensure a mosquito free zone. MosquitoPaQ™ LLC products confuse bloodthirsty mosquitoes with a cause-effect approach.
products produce a patented, organic essence, easy-to-use, completely effective and do not contain any chemicals that have been clinically proven to be harmful to people, pets and the environment. Independent testing shows MosquitoPaQ™ LLC products release a mosquito attracting aroma that mosquitoes can detect from 70 feet away and this confounds the mosquito from looking for a blood-meal and instead for nectar replacement. This starts a secure no-bite ZONE around your home and garden.

™ LLC Pent USAABSTRACT
The objective of the test and sampling design was to determine if the feeding behavior of yellow fever mosquitoes, Aedes aegypti, is altered with exposure to MosquitoPaQ™ no-bite Outdoor Zone. Results indicate that ZONE significantly reduced biting activity of Aedes aegypti in in-vitro laboratory studies after exposure to the product for 2 hours.
INTRODUCTION
The laboratory tests were carried out during June and July of 2015 in a laboratory at Florida State University, Panama City, Florida. The test organisms were 5-7 day old Aedes aegypti deprived of food (sugar water) for 24 hours to ensure biting activity. ZONE is designed to discourage mosquitoes from taking a blood meal, but allowing them to seek nectar rather than
females seek and need for their eggs would normally be replaced by simple sugar for energy for the adult mosquito when the opportunity is available. However, this opportunity does not exist in the sealed chambers employed in this
hypothesis that the product is effective in changing the feeding behavior of the female mosquitoes. This being said, the control necessary to insure statistical noise from mosquitoes of varying age, sex, and a variety of environmental factors in a study comparing control mosquitoes to those exposed to ZONE is enhanced greatly by this type of in vitro laboratory study.

™ LLC Pent USAMETHODOLOGY
Bioassays were performed in a fluorescent lighted and air conditioned room using six-chambered Plexiglas K&D modules stocked with five mosquitoes per chamber. Modules were placed on top of Plexiglas water reservoirs containing six surface wells filled with artificial blood and covered with collagen membranes. The blood was heated to 38 °C via warm water pumped by a temperature controlled immersion circulator to the water bath. The six upper modules measure 5 cm (h) x 7 cm (d) x 30 cm (w) and contain six shallow blood wells etched in the surfaces. Two trials were completed during the June and July, 2015 period. Trial 1, exposed mosquitoes for one hour to ZONE activated by mixing the granular and liquid ingredient for 6 hours. Trial 2 exposed mosquitoes for 2 hours to ZONE activated for 48 hours. Non-treated mosquitoes were used as control in both trials. Eighteen replications of each of the two treatments were randomly assigned to three pair of modules. Sliding doors located at the base of the upper modules were opened to expose mosquitoes to the membrane-covered blood wells for 90-second biting counts. The ZONE product would normally be activated in a high humidity and warm to hot environment. However, the laboratory methodology for activating the product was a low humidity and cool air- conditioned environment. Extensive study of the product has shown it becomes much more effective in a natural environment, however, increased rigor was encouraged by the air-conditioned laboratory.

™ LLC Pent USARESULTS
The biting counts between control mosquitoes and mosquitoes that were exposed to the MosquitoPaQ™ no-bite ZONE product after confined in the chambers for 1 to 1.5 hours provide the following. A non-paired T-test is performed on the data. From these data means and statistical variances were obtained. From these statistics the Pooled-Variance of the two data sets, i.e. control vs. ZONE exposed mosquitoes was computed. Pooled Variance = 1.335 The corresponding: Standard Error = 0.385 Finally, the separation in mean biting pressure between the two groups showing higher biting counts from the Control mosquitoes compared to those exposed to ZONE (18 control, and 18 ZONE) provides the following: T-Statistic = 3.04; where P = 0.0047. Hence, the reduction in biting pressure in the ZONE group compared to the control group is highly significant at the 99.53 level. In other words, the risk of an error due to sampling design from concluding the effectiveness of the product is only P = 0.004 7.
MosquitoPaQ
™ LLC Pent USACONCLUSION The results indicate that ZONE significantly reduced biting pressure when compared to the control mosquitoes that were not exposed to ZONE. Given that the design of the product is such that mosquitoes exposed will no longer seek a blood meal, but fly to find nectar and results herein were
natural warm and humid environment produces significantly more vapor output than an air- conditioned laboratory. Given these independent laboratory results, and field trials of the ZONE product from around the World suggest that ZONE provides a safe, organic, and highly effective means to protect humans and animals from biting mosquitoes seeking a blood meal.
