 The 2018 Recreation Assessment prompted changes to

courts

 The policy needed to be revised

 -Adopted in 1988  -Revised in 2006 and 2011

 Policy and additional uses discussed at Recreation Board

 -Rec Board hearing February 28, 2019 & March 28, 2019  -Notifications sent to all residence within 300 feet of courts

Recreation Board Recommendation

 Recreation Board recommended all operational

permit was obtained

 -Staff has concerns about this specific recommendation

  • City provided foam balls will be lost or stolen

  • Enforcement will be a challenge

Recommendation

 Staff Recommends that the City Council adopt a

resolution amending Council Policy 200-3 the Morris Dill Courts and uphold the operational and facility changes as recommended by the Recreation Board but deny the alternative ball use recommendation.
