Phase One: Identify Public Values and Priorities Associated with Mirror Pond January through February of 2013

  • 'Mirror Pond Questionnaire' to identify common values and attitudes towards Mirror Pond
  • The Questionnaire closed February 25, 2013at 8:00pm – 1,870 responses
  • Public Meetings on February 6 and February 12, 2013 6:30 to 8:30pm (both dates)

Phase Two: Identify Immediate and Long Term Strategies to Address Current Conditions March through July of 2013

  • Assess Public Responses from Questionnaire and Public Meetings
  • Create Visions/Options for Potential Strategies
  • Options Questionnaire published June 12, 2013; closed July 12, 2013 – 1,224 responses
  • Public Meetings on June 25th, July 2nd, and at July 4th celebration in Drake Park
  • Comment Card responses from Public Meetings (limited ranking of Options) – 66 responses
  • Presentation to City Council and Park Board on July 16, 2013

Phase Three: Identify Preferred Strategy for Immediate and Long Term Response Schedule to be determined – currently in progress

  • Assess Public Responses to Alternative Visions/Options
  • Work with Ad-Hoc Committee to Develop Preferred Option Based on direction from Council and

Park Board
