2017-2018  implemented building grade level teams 6-8  Nancy Doda led a group of administrators, teachers and students through a discussion of what matters in the world and topics students would want to explore and learn about:

❑ Interdisciplinary, meaningful and relevant curriculum ❑ How do we organize our content and/or standards into meaningful and relevant team units? ❑ What essential questions will frame each quarter’s curriculum? ❑ How do we communicate this with ALL teachers? ❑ How do we incorporate all subjects in our planning? ❑ What will the students be producing as a result of their work?

 UbD aligned units of study were created in each grade level for the 4th marking period

2018-2019  EL Education consultants working with grades 7 and 8, building administration and 6-12 supervisorsto implement "self-managed classroomsm," routines, and protocols with intent  "Our approach to classroom management is based on the premise that students learn to make good choices independently and hold themselves accountable for their behavior" -EL Education  Grade level team meetings 6-8 to align instruction with relevance, purpose and product  Grade level team meetings to plan " better world days"  New building-wide committee consisting of 23 staff members aligned to the EL Education 10 principles
