1 June 11-13/ 6-9p Mini Camp #1
For NEW and RETURNING members. Attendance is expected and will be recorded. Meet your section, learn basics, pep tunes, and other essentials!
2 July 9-11 / 6-9p Mini Camp #2
Same as June, however... ALL fees and paperwork are due by July 11th so we can finalize our roster. It is IMPERATIVE we have a final roster for drill writing purposes!
3 August 12-16 & 19-24 Band Camp
These dates are MANDATORY!!! If you can’t commit to these dates, you may be unable to participate. 9-5pm- Pack a lunch! Parent Preview on 8/24- Details to follow
Percussion and Colorguard will host summer “tech” classes to help students learn the requisite skills for those specific captions.
Wind players, especially those not on their primary instrument, will also have the opportunity for extra help sessions. These sessions will be held on the same night / time. Check the calendar for specifics.
We will be doing two nights a week (USUALLY Monday/Wednesday) from 6-9 pm at MHS! This will minimize transportation issues and maximize staff instructional time BUT will require students to work HARDER ON THEIR OWN between practices. Don’t wait for us to make you better! IMPORTANT: Our expectations of excellence remain unchanged! Attendance is a MUST. If you miss one practice you miss 50% of the rehearsals that week! Be sure you can COMMIT to this expectation.
REMEMBER: Everyone is a “VARSITY STARTER” in Marching Band. There are no substitutes if you miss a rehearsal or performance. This is especially true with the reduced rehearsal schedule. Please review the attendance section in the handbook. We will work with you within reason given that you COMMUNICATE! KNOWN conflicts need to be communicated BEFORE committing. We will do our best to be accommodating but sometimes hard decisions must be made.

Remember: The cost covers a FRACTION of the individual and group expenses incurred by this activity and the Boosters help make up the rest.
