IEEE R10 Mentors Forum

  • IEEE R10 Mentors Forum focuses on the revampment of dormant student

branches.

  • Student branches having zero members and less than 15 members are

considered as dormant student branches.

  • 10 sections with the most severe dormancy issue in student branches were

identified from membership data acquired from MGA.

  • SAC of respective section was contacted to act upon and revive the particular

student branch

slide-21
SLIDE 21

IEEE R10 Mentors Forum

  • Graduate student members and members young professionals were selected to

guide and assist dormant student branches as mentors.

  • Mentors with the help of section SAC assisted and help reviving dormant

student branch. Suggestion:

  • Student branches not in a position to get revived will be requested to be

eliminated from MGA database.

  • System should be smart enough to report Sb chair/counselor when membership

count goes down.
