Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act

The purpose of the Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act is to allow the beneficial use of medical cannabis in a regulated system for alleviating symptoms caused by debilitating medical conditions and their medical treatments.

 Approve and issue patient registry cards to

qualified patients and their primary caregivers

Qualified Patients

 Qualified Patient must be diagnosed with one of

the 28 approved medical conditions

 Between 150 - 900 applications are received daily

(new and renewing patients, PPL, and Caregiver)

 At the end of September 2019:

 Over 77,000 patients in the program  8,100 Personal Production Licenses  231 minors enrolled in the program

34 Licensed Non-Profit Producers

  • 98 Dispensaries
  • 21 Counties
  • locations can not be

within 300 feet of a church, school or daycare

What Enrollment Provides

 Legal protection to possess an adequate supply  The right to have items used for consumption of medical

cannabis (i.e. paraphernalia)

 The right to purchase from Licensed Non-Profit

Producers

 The option of applying for a Personal Production License  Participants must carry their ID card - if they do not

have it, they must be given time to produce it

 “By-standers” can not be arrested or prosecuted simply

for being in the presence of medical cannabis
