Introduction

Aim: Use all available metrics to validate the latest reconstruction for use in the MCC12 production. Consider all metrics for both data and MC events. Reconstruction: In these studies we use Pandora from larsoft v08_27_00, but there have been no changes to the reconstruction logic since. Samples: MC: /pnfs/dune/scratch/users/tjyang/v08_27_00/reco/ mcc12_protodune_beam_p1GeV_cosmics_35ms_v7/ files.list Data: /pnfs/dune/scratch/users/tjyang/mcc12test/ r5387/v7/ana*root Primary Interaction Vertex 𝜌+ 𝜌+ p

MC Metrics - Test Beam Particle

Paired

(1:1 Ratio, Based On Number Of Shared Hits)

MC Particle Reco Particle MC Hits Reco Hits Shared Hits MC

Purity = nSharedHits / nRecoHits Completeness = nSharedHits / nMCHits

Examine the reconstruction efficiency for test beam particles. Compare to the 1 GeV MCC11 space charge samples, which have a similar composition. Slight drop-off in reconstruction efficiency, ~3%, for MCC12 sample.

Now consider the reconstruction metrics we have for data. Comparable performance between MCC11 and MCC12 samples. Discrepancies between MC and data are comparable to what we have seen previously:

Data Metrics

With the APA stitching enabled, we now are able to reconstruct T0s in a wider range for both data and MC. Slightly more clear cosmic rays appearing in MCC12 than in MCC11, with data in the middle.

Conclusions

Thank you for your attention! The performance of reconstruction is comparable between the MCC11 and MCC12 samples. The APA T0 tagging is working well for both MC and Data. The Pandora reconstruction is ready for the production to proceed.
