Geological Map of Turkey

The complex geologic and tectonic structure of Turkey makes it more important for mine exploration and mining facilities, and it contributes to mineral diversity of the region.

MTA Library has collection containing approximately 48.000 books and 2.321 serial titles of which over 700 are currently received by purchase, gift and exchange.

  • Survey reports produced by MTA are an

important part of our organisation and allmost all of these reports are transferred to the digital media on our databases.

  • Researchers can review our reports at the

related department, on computers.

  • We will also commence the sale of our study

reports through the internet in the next few months (around late June).

  • MTA is ready to cooperate with foreign

colleagues, such as Research and Development institutes, and to serve the private sector.

  • Good investment climate , incentives and

geological advantage makes Turkey attractive for foreign mining investors.

  • Since the deep mineral deposition environment

in Turkey has not been adequately explored yet, it will be easy for experienced explorers with sufficient finance to find new deep environment mineral deposits.

  • In order to benefit from Turkey’s mineral

potential in a sustainable manner, more deep drilling programs should be conducted according to geo model-based exploration studies to discover important mineral deposits.
