Recent projects

Molong Solar Farm

  • Terrain sold the 30MWac Molong solar farm in NSW to PV solar investor

and developer, TEC-C Investments (“TEC-C”) in November 2017.

  • The transaction was a significant milestone for Terrain marking their maiden

project sale in the Australianmarket.

  • Construction is due to start shortly and it should be generating power for

the grid by the second quarter of 2020. Warwick Solar Farm

  • Terrain and the University of Queensland (“UQ”) jointly announced the sale

and purchase of the 64MWac Warwick solar farm on 7 June2018.

  • The deal is the first globally where a university has offset all its power

usage by buying an entire grid-scale solar farm.

  • The project, located near the town of Warwick about 160km westof

Brisbane, received development approval on 6 June.

  • UQ said this will help it become “energy neutral” by 2020. It will also use

the solar farm for research, teaching and“engagement”.

  • Construction has commenced with the project expected to generate

power into the grid as early as the final quarter of 2019.

Coles Group

  • Landmark 10-year agreement with Coles Group to supply clean renewable

energy from three NSW Solar Farms

  • Construction of Wagga Wagga, Corowa and Junee solar farms will

commence shortly providing over 240 jobs during construction and 10 direct ongoing roles

  • A 64MWac / 78MWdc Solar Farm on approximately 155 hectares
  • f land located in Warwick QLD - 1hr 45min drive from UQ’s St

Lucia campus.

  • Comprises 2 x 32MWac sites connecting at 33KV
  • $125 million budget covers all project costs (development, land

purchase, construction, connection works, professional fees, and contingency).

  • Project will generate 160,000 MWh of annual clean energy

enabling UQ to become 100%renewable.

  • UQ will have exposure to the wholesale energy market ‘spot

price’ with volatility risk being managed through specialist financial hedging instruments such as ‘cap’ contracts and innovative technology.

  • Highly collaborative deal – development partnership between

Terrain Solar and UQ from an early stage.

Public engagement with the facility could be as varied as student field trips through to live data streaming that can be used for interactive market simulations. It (Warwick Solar Farm) will leverage UQ’s existing clean energy strengths and provide the potential to venture into emerging research and industry partnerships.
