IB Diploma Pathway
What courses should I take if plan to pursue an IB Diploma? You may take any course you choose to fill each academic area. For science specific questions: If you plan to take IB Biology, take a different class as a sophomore. If you plan to take IB Chemistry, it is suggested that you take Chemistry as a sophomore.
International Baccalaurete Programme

choosing whether or not to continue with the Middle Years Programme. If you are continuing, be sure to enter 8688/8689 – Personal Project

Choose “Students” Heading Click on Counseling Link
Choose “2020-21 Registration” on left side of LHS Counseling page
Online Course Requests
Click on “More” heading after logging in to Portal then choose “Course Registration”
Search for Classes
- 1. Click on the blue “Add
Course” button
- 2. Search by Course Name or
Course Number
Click a course title to view a class description
Click “Add Request” button to add the class to list of requests; Choose “Add Alternate” to add to list of alternate choices
By clicking on the + sign, you can select courses without viewing a class description
Remember to add both semesters for each full year course (1.0 credit)
As you enter your requests, they will appear in a list of Course Requests
Your list needs to include a minimum of 14/16 units (7.0 credits)
To Drop a Request:
- Click on the red X next to
the course title in your list
- f requests
- Confirm the drop by
choosing “Delete”
After requesting all classes (at least 14), choose 4 alternates.
- List alternates in priority order.
- Move course requests to
alternates by clicking “Convert to Alternate” button
Your online course registration is compete when your list includes at least 14 out of 16 units (classes) + 4 alternates
Click “Print” and return printout with registration worksheet
