  2. DQP ROLE 1. The status of the Water Process Controller qualification Qualification documents have been submitted to the QCTO, minor • challenges on the Assessment specifications document. QCTO and the QDF to sort it and will be tabled in the qualifications committee scheduled to take place in April 2016. LGSETA is the lead AQP in partnership with WISA for the qualification. • LGSETA is working on signing the SLA with QCTO. • CEP members have already attended an introductory session on the • development of assessment tools/instruments for the qualification. CEP members will develop the assessment instruments for the • qualification. 2 LGSETA DQP- AQP ROLES • 23 February 2016

  3. DQP ROLE 2. Update on the 4 new qualifications Namely: 1. Plumbing Inspector (Water Reticulation Officer) OFO code: 2015-642605 2. Water Production and Supply Chain Manager (Water Infrastructure Specialist) OFO Code: 2015-134198 3. Program or Project Manager (Sanitation coordinator) OFO Code: 2015- 121905 4. Communication coordinator (Water Liaison Practitioner) OFO Code:2015-243201 LGSETA is in the process of procuring QDF services for all 4 qualifications. • The challenge is the OFO codes for the identified priority occupations. • The occupations were not listed on the OFO code document. • Only 1 input to the OFO Code document was approved out of the 4 water • qualifications submitted to DHET. The resubmissions of the rejected inputs will be evaluated in March by the • DHET task team. 3

  4. DQP ROLE 2. Way forward LGSETA will proceed with the procurement and appointment of the QDF • for the Water Liaison Practitioner. LGSETA to resubmit the revised inputs to DHET for the three rejected • occupations. If approved by the DHET task team in March, LGSETA will then proceed • with the development process. 4
