* As parents we play a role in ensuring students follow the behaviors expected of the marching band and support students ability to balance their attendance at rehearsals and competitions with studying, tests, college visits, and other activities

Behavior and Attendance

• Monday and Wednesday 4:30 to 8:00
• Friday Sectionals 5:00 to 7:00 (through September 7th)
• Saturdays 10:00 to 6:00
• On competition days there is a break to shower and prep (schedule to be

announced by Mr. C)

*On time = arrive 15 minutes before rehearsal start **Athletic shoes a must ***Gallon water jug a must ****Hat on hot days highly recommended

Rehearsal Schedule Reminders

• Due to ACT/SAT testing and Field Hockey the Marching Band will

practice at a difgerent school on the following dates:

• September 8th (Pioneer – full ensemble)
• September 15th (Pioneer – all but FE who stays at Leigh)
• October 6 (Dartmouth TBC in AM then go to competition site)
• November 3 (Dartmouth TBC in AM, then go to competition site)

Donation Request

• 2018 Ask is $1250 per student
• Can pay in installments: August 1 = $450, September 1 = $400, October

1 = $400

• Give what you can if you can’t afgord to donate the full amount
• Donation covers:
• Competition Uniform
• Props/Silks/Other Equipment
• Travel Uniform / Duffme bag
• Some (larger) instruments
• World Class Stafg / Instruction
• Transportation
• Food (at competitions)
• All expenses for trips

Please process a company match if your company does matches. We can earn $15,000 to $20,000 with company matching!!!

How You Can Support Your Student

Help out in one or more ways: ❑ Super Saturday Support (drinks/snacks/minor fjrst aid) ❑ Operations (moving equipment, building props, fjxing things…) ❑ Uniforms (sizing and making sure students look great) ❑ Food (keeping students fed on long competition days) ❑ Communications (Newsletters, Website, Photography, Social Media) ❑ Fundraising (help organize various events, sponsorships) ❑ Color guard (help with uniforms, equipment specifjc to guard) *Sign-up sheets can be found in the lobby **Watch for announcements to sign-up on ivolunteer
