We want a wonderful and safe Race Day experience for participants, spectators, volunteers and staff. It will go much more smoothly if everyone has read the information in this presentation prior to Race Day. Thanks – Kids Run the OC

  5. BIBS AND TIMING • Each registered participant receives a “Bib” with a “Bib Number.” IMPORTANT!!! NO D-TAGS THIS YEAR. Each bib has a B- • tag – nothing needs to be pulled off or placed on runner’s shoe. • Coaches bibs will not have B-tags. • IMPORTANT!!! The “Bib” must be affixed to the front of the participant’s shirt – no child (or adult) will be allowed into the Kids Staging Area without a “Bib” affixed to the front of their shirt. • The “Bib Number” is how we track the runners in our timing system. • The bib is attached to child’s name and is non -transferable to siblings, other children at school, parents or coaches. • Timing starts when the participant crosses the start line, so no need to push or jockey to the front. • Children and parents can check their time in the Festival area after the race. • The “Bib Number” should be used to look up the participant’s actual race time.

  6. PICKING UP YOUR CHILD • The “Claim Tickets” are on the front of the bib. Parents/Coaches must have one of the claim tickets to pick up the runners in the “Family Reunion/Kid Pick Up Area” after the race. • Please fill out the back of the bib with your child’s emergency contact information (including cell number). • Please remove the “Claim Tags” to be able to retrieve your child in the Kid Pick Up/Family Reunion Area. • After your child has finished their race, they will enter a secure area to receive fluids and snacks and proceed to the secure Family Reunion/Kid Pick Up Area and be sorted according to bib number. • Parents should proceed to the Parent Waiting Lines and follow the directions of the security guides to retrieve their child in a civilized and safe manner.
