What’s New?
- No Wednesday evening receptions at Level I & II
- Trainings must reach at least 25 attendees to be confirmed
(previously 18)
- Individuals must be at least 18 years old to attend trainings
- Training times have been adjusted to meet new Fair Labor
Standards Act overtime rule.
Registration Process
- Registration fees are remaining the same for the 5th year in a row!
- Level I: $375
- Level II: $250
- Level III: $300
- CAT: $250
- Registration spots are first-come, first-serve
- If spots are available after the registration deadline, coaches can register,
but will incur a $50 late fee.
- No limit to the number of coaches a chapter can send to a training
Registration Process
- Executive Director or Program Director completes online form on the chapter
intranet
- A member of the coach training staff will process the form and email the
coach and ED/PD next steps
- Prerequisites must be completed prior to registering for the training:
- Level I – Assistant Coach Training
- Level II Pre-assessment
- Level III Pre-assessment
- Once prerequisite is completed, a link will be provided to register and pay
for the training
- Training spots are not confirmed until the prerequisite is completed and
payment has been received.
Preparing for Training
- Trainings are not confirmed until 25 attendees have registered. Do not make
travel arrangements until you receive confirmation from the home office.
- Attendees will receive a fact sheet for the training, including training location
and times.
- A host hotel will not be available for all trainings. If one is available, rooms
are not guaranteed, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Transportation to/from the training site is not provided
- Lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the training.
Post Training
- Attendees must complete a home office post training survey
- Attendees should meet with Program Director or Lead Coach to debrief their
experience, and follow up on any chapter related questions.
- Attendees have at least one year to submit their Post Training Documents
- Deadlines are at the end of each quarter (March 31st, June 30th,
September 30th, November 1st)
- If documents aren’t submitted and approved, the coach will go inactive
and may have to re-attend training.
Post Training Documents
- Documents must be typed and submitted in one Word file and submitted via
Hightail.
- Documents must be fully completed, especially lesson plans.
- If documents are not completed, they will be returned which will prolong
the approval process.
- Document must be endorsed by Executive Director, Program Director or
Board Member. Electronic signatures are preferred.
- Typically takes 10-15 business days to receive approval.
Progressing Through the Coach Program
- Coaches can attend the next level of training 180 days after the last day of
their initial level of training.
- Coaches must have their Post Training Documents submitted and approved
at least 60 days prior to the start of their desired training.
- Rule of thumb – One action per year is required. Action can include
attending a training, submitting post training documents, or completing a Level I or II annual assessment.
- Deadline to purchase annual assessments is December 1st, and deadline
to complete the assessment is December 15th
