Shot 83, 74, 74 to finish +9. - Schools Northumberland Golf Series. Won 3 events at Longhirst, Ponteland & Matfen. Won overall in event at Longhirst including all boys by 5 shots. - Northumberland Ladies County Championship Runner Up 2019 Gosforth in May - Finished 6th in Fairhaven Trophy in May - Won Matfen Ladies Club Championship in June - Played in County Match Week at Seaton Carew representing Northumberland in June - Won Northern Counties Strokeplay at Silloth in August in U14 category (-3) - Won Northumberland Schools Championships U14,U16 &U18 in May (Level) - North of England U18 Schools Championship in June (Level par over 2 rounds) - Finished 6th in National School U18 Championship in June - Finished 2nd in National Schools U16 Championship in July - Represented England Schools in a match v Scotland in Sept where she won the Foursomes and halved her singles - Finished 9th in English U16s Championship Gerrards Cross in August and was 3rd English Girl. (Scores 80, 76, 74) - Placed 8th in the Scottish U16s at Eglin GC in August - Placed 2nd in U14 category of the North of England Championship at Heswell in August - 1st in European Junior Open Qualifier at Otley in August (Level par) - Selected to play for National Team England v Ireland U16s Norfolk but Zara could not play due to Junior Football World Cup in Barcelona - Won first of this year’s Northumberland Schools Series 1 at Longhirst - Best Gross in the Northumberland County Autumn Meeting at Bedlington 76 - Selected for the England Golf Regional Under 18 Coaching Programme Charlotte Naughton - Represented Northumberland several times including the annual match against Cumbria. - Plays for Heworth Junior Team with a great winning record this year. - Plays for Matfen Junior Team and played a big part in them winning their League.

  2. - Won the best gross (Girls) in all 5 of the Junior tour events and represented Northumberland in finals. - Won best gross for KS2 in 3 of the 4 events in Northumberland Schools series – at Ponteland, Matfen and Hexham. - Finished 5th in her category US Kids European Championships at Musselburgh (81, 80, 78) - Finished 2nd in the Wee Wonders Regional Finals Leeds in July - Finished 5th in Wee Wonders Final in the 11-12 Years Girls category at Gullane in August. - Played in the Scottish U14s Championship at Elgin - Qualified as best in the area for the Abraham Trophy which is played at the English U14 Championship at Gerrards Cross. Finished 10th with +6 over par. - Won Matfen Ladies Doubles Championship 2019. Leah Davison-Pullan - 2019 Heworth Junior Captain - Represented County Durham several times in 2019 - Vice Captain for DCLGA Girls for 2019 to be Captain in 2020 - Great mentor to the younger girls - Represented the Heworth Ladies team in 2019 - Part of the Durham County Elite coaching programme Autumn Buchanan - Finished Came 17th at the US Kids European Golf Championships played at Longniddry. - Appeared on ITV News about qualifying for the US Kids World Championships at Pinehurst, North Carolina. - Finished 39th at US Kids World Championships at Pinehurst, North Carolina and was the only British girl in her age category. - Winner of the best Nett trophy and overall girl ’ s category winner at Bedlington Golf Club for the Northern Junior Golf Tour. - Played in the Wee Wonders Grand Final at North Berwick and came 7th in the girl ’ s category. - Winner of the US Kids Local Scottish tour events at Castle Park Golf Club, Kingsfield Golf and Leisure Club and Musselburgh Golf Club. Runner up at Swanston Golf Club. - Overall US Kids Local Tour Champion in her age category. - Invited back and already booked for the 2020 US Kids World Championships at Pinehurst. - A proud member of the Heworth Blue Tee League Junior Golf Team. - Won 4 of the junior competitions at Heworth. - Also a budding young footballer representing Wallsend Boys Club. Jasmine Lee - Played in the US Kids European Championship in Scotland - Played several times for the Heworth Junior team - Reduced her handicap to 23 - Represented DCLGA Juniors at the Jamboree in York - Winner of the Barlow Bowl (Girls KO in Northumberland) beating Rosie Belsham in the semi-final - Won the US Kids qualifier in Edinburgh after a tie and a 4 hole play-off Nathan Buchanan - Winner of the Key Stage 2 Best Nett trophy played at Hexham Golf Club in the 2018/19 Northumberland School Series. - Winner of the Key Stage 2 Best Nett trophy played at Ponteland Golf Club in the 2018/19 Northumberland School Series. - Came 44th at the US Kids European Golf Championships played at Craigielaw. - Winner of the best Gross trophy at Allendale Golf Club for the Northern Junior Golf Tour. - Played Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina, home of the RBC Heritage beating his Dad and shooting less than 100. - Shot his best ever round at Heworth scoring a gross 89 off the yellow tees in August. - In the same round he also got his first ever Hole in One on the 15th. - Winner of the mixed foursomes sweep with Millie Hixon, Jason and Joanne McGuire. - A member of the winning Northumberland County team at the Grand Final of the Northern Junior Golf Tour beating Durham, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. - Winner of the US Kids Local Scottish tour events at Castle Park Golf Club, Kingsfield Golf and Leisure Club and Musselburgh Golf Club. Runner up at Swanston Golf Club. - Overall US Kids Local Tour Champion in his age category. - Winner of the 2019/20 Key Stage 2 Northumberland School Series event at Longhirst. - 15th in the Northumberland County Autumn Meeting at Bedlington - Broke 4 of his 5 goals that he set at the beginning of the golf season. - Reduced his handicap from a 29 to a 26 in the space of 2 months. - A proud member of the Heworth Junior Golf Team and Matfen Hall Junior Golf Team - Won 4 of the junior competitions at Heworth. Will Marshall - Although Will is officially still a Junior and we are all proud of his many golfing achievements this year , his golfing exploits will be highlighted by the men’s section where Will has enjoyed another fantastic season of success at Club, Team and County levels. Callum Fay - Junior Captain in 2020 - A regular for the Junior Team this year

Monday night practice (winter and summer), team matches (when picked), competitions etc. - A great kid who is well respected in the section - Reduced his handicap this year - Away from golf Callum is a referee James Russell - Started playing off the Yellow Tees this year - One of the most active members of the section. Monday night practice (winter and summer), team matches (when picked), competitions and coaching - Won his first competition playing off the yellow tees - Reduced his handicap 2 shots - tough off the yellow tees - Millie Hixon - Represented Durham County in 2019. - Played in the US Kids World Championships. Harry Hedley - New member this year - Played in US Kids European Qualifier at Longniddry - Won the Wee Wonders qualifier at The Hirsel GC - Best Gross at Warkworth and Bedlington and three other top 3s in the Northumberland Junior Golf Tour - Won his first Junior events at Heworth GC – Both the trophies named after Harry’s - Another great footballer with many achievements Ethan Smiles - Won the first Captains Day Junior event - Was part of the winning team in the Blue Tee League end of season Texas Scramble - Part of the Heworth Junior Team this year General - Callum, Haydon and Rory played in Junior Open at Gleneagles - Solheim Cup – Nathan, Autumn, Leah, Jasmine, Sophie, Zara, Charlotte went to watch the elite of the women’s game as Europe won back the cup - NoE Futures Programme – Rory, Haydon, Leah, Nathan, Jack, James, Charlotte, Jasmine, Millie, Zara, Harry - Libby – although has since left Heworth has gone on to play for England this year All in all an amazing season!
