What is Integrative Medicine? • Informed by evidence using appropriate therapies combining conventional medicine and established approaches and proven practices of healing traditions from around the world. • Achieving optimal health, facilitating the body’s innate healing response, maintaining total well-being and enhancing the resilience of the patient.

What about Complementary Medicine and Alternative Medicine? ◍ The World Health Organization (WHO) considers Traditional Medicine (or Healing Traditions) as the term to describe what is known as Complimentary and Alternative Medicine. ◍ The labels "Complimentary Medicine and Alternative Medicine" are condescending, derogatory, judgmental, inferring conventional medicine is superior to any other forms of medicine ◍ The National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States has already changed the National Centre for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (created in 1999) to the National Center for Complementary & Integrative Medicine (since 2015)
