• In this research, local and foreign (imported) varieties reached to detect phytoplasma diseases in vineyards of Turkey. • Results showed that, both local and imported varieties are infected by phytoplasmas which belong to different phytoplasma groups. • None of the insect individuals were found infected by phytoplasma. • Work is in progress to confirm this finding and verify phytoplasma identity.
