  28. Field Demonstration In 2012 - Discussion • Behind the Scene − On August 8, 2009, the southern Taiwan was attacked by typhoon Morakot and lost US$ 650 Billion value in the agriculture industry. − The sugar apple farmer was one of the victims of the typhoon. Because of the tragic damage, he was about to give up planting sugar apple this year. − After the field demonstration, the farmer truly appreciated of our distributor, Mr. Yang, introducing him the BHN products. The impressive performance of BHN products has not only facilitated the profitability of his farm land, but also gained his faith back on planting sugar apple.

  29. Field Demonstration In 2012 - Discussion • Lessons Learned − Owing to our first time managing sugar apple field trial, we decided to keep 30 ~ 50 fruits/tree merely based on the statistics from governmental research station.  This decision has resulted in 1/3 fruit dropping when reaching the maturity, and shortening the length of harvesting period.  The trees were unable to gain enough nutrients for fruit setting. − After the spring-summer harvest, we have limited the number of fruit set to 20 ~ 35 fruits/tree during our fall-winter trial.  We expect to diminish the fruit dropping and prolong the harvest.

  30. Field Demonstration In 2012 - Discussion • Lessons Learned − Despite the spring-summer harvest failing to meet our estimation, the significant improvement has impressed the nearby litchi farmers.  Those litchi farmers have contacted us for managing their litchi fields in 2013.
