MISSION STATEMENT

Bulgarian Association of Networking Academies (BANA) is:

 A non-profit organization of all Cisco networking academies and

parties concerned in Bulgaria

 The first contact point of the networking academies  Works to support Cisco students and graduates, helps them

  • perate more efficiently

 Promotes the ICT education in the country  Acts as a bridge between business and education

School system for VET education in Bulgaria

enterprise”

  • Target – increasing the quality of the competences of

students for the purpose of better career realization

  • Partners – vocational schools, enterprises, branch
  • rganizations, municipalities, MoE

Pilot model of partnership „Vocational school – company” - content

 Estimated forecast of the needs of the enterprise in a

period of 4-5 years

 Vocational High school claims planning of the state

plan-reception in agreement with the enterprise.

 Admission to the vocational high school is negotiated

with the municipality.

 The learning plans and curricula are developed jointly

by the partners - school and enterprise, according to the State educational standards

 The above - approved by the Minister of Education

Pilot model of partnership „Vocational school – company” - content

Vocational training includes:

 Theory and practice up to 11-th class - basic professional preparation.  In 11-th grade the theoretical preparation -3 days a week, in the 12-th -

2 days.

 The training and production practices are conducted in the enterprise

  • n specific jobs by mentors who can be both engineers and prominent

workers who have undergone a training course in methodology of

  • teaching. Each mentor responsible for one or two students.

Appointment Financing:

 MoE, enterprise, municipality, branch organization. Students get

scholarship during the training.
