Spanish Exercise: Taking Vitals  We are going to start by practicing some very basic clinic Spanish needed to take height and weight  Look around and find a partner! Introduce yourself if you don’t know each other!  We will take turns playing patient and volunteer

Fundraising Events  Bake sale  Made $430 total!  Prime location!  Vocal volunteers, thanks!  Rubio’s  Made $80 from Public Health! Yay!

Clinic: April 20 th  Medical provider:  Dr. Kobongo  Dental provider:  Dr. Marquez and her assistant Lupita  De-pilling is still in progress  Dental supplies and inventory  Saw lots of patients from a Christian rehabilitation center  they gave us FOOD!

Upcoming Clinic  Clinic dates:  May 25 th  June 29 th (event points reset after June clinic trip)  July 20 th (first come first serve)

Banquet May 24th  We will be having a great big benefit banquet and raffle to educate UCSD about the health care system in Mexico and raise funds for our clinic in Mexico  Flying Sams Public Health committee will present their work  Dr. Jose Luis Burgos, Health Frontiers in Tijuana, will speak  Food from Punjabi Tandoor and raffle prizes up to $300 in value  Attendees will earn clinic points  Save the date!  When: Friday night, 6-9PM May 24 th  Where: Forum, Price Center  $10 donation for food

Health Fair, Bonita Medical Camp  Where: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 3737 Valley Vista Way, Bonita, CA.  When: Saturday June 22, 2013 (a week after finals end)  Registration starts at 7AM and the day ends at 3PM.  Choice of morning, afternoon or both shifts  Volunteers who sign up will be contacted and placed where they are needed  Volunteer training and orientation will be on June 15 th (optional)
