INTRAOPERATIVE MR

Intraoperative MR imaging is used in brain and spine surgeries and enables surgeons to image the progress of a tumor cleaning operation. This method involves using an MRI scanner com- bined with navigation and ultrasound technolo- gies while the patient undergoes surgery. The process provides a clear image of the tissue and helps ensure complete removal of the tumor during surgery, thus reducing the risk of post-surgery tumor residues.
