Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust QAH Hospital 11/23/2016 Page 5 The Trial  Two wards next to each other, of the same number of beds.  One ward using the existing drinking glasses  The other with the new improved drinking glasses.  Water given and was measured on both wards over 9 days  The water being thrown out from the jugs during the handover period was measured  The amount assumed to be consumed was then calculated
