The Horizontal Integrated Construction Services contract is an innovative contracting method that provides a solution to meet the needs of a Large Capital Build Program such as the National Western Center by providing:

  • A Single Point of Responsibility
  • Critical Team Members with Prime Experience with Campus Delivery
  • Preconstruction- Lifecycle focus on Cost, Schedule and Efficient delivery
  • Site Wide Management of the NWC Campus Construction
  • Community Interface
  • Overall and Concurrent Operations Logistics
  • Integration of Various Concurrent Construction Efforts
  • Competitive Work Order Procurement Process

HIC CONTRACT OVERVIEW

  • Contract Type: Integrated Construction Model
  • Task Order and Work Order Based
  • Contract Capacity: $275 Million
  • M/WBE: Goals will be assigned to each Work Order
  • Contract Duration: Initial five (5) year duration (2 year possible extension)
  • Anticipated Contract Start: Q2 2018
  • Anticipated Construction Start: Q4 2018

BENEFITS OF AN INTEGRATED CONTRACT

  • This contract is built for maximum industry participation – small, medium and

large firm opportunities!

  • Services will be procured and contracted on a Task Order or Work Order Basis
  • Goals will be assigned to each Work Order which increase M/WBE opportunities

and allows for greater participation including over time

  • Prime Contractor will serve as single point of contact for all Work Orders and will

be responsible for “stitching together” Design, Construction and Concurrent Packages

  • Allows for scope packaging refinement as the campus is developing- buying only

what we need, when we need it with the greatest amount of information at time
