Go to www.hootsuite.com to register Click the green “Sign Up” button in the upper right of the screen.

Once you are signed in and connected you’ll see this screen.

Once you choose which version, Free, Pro or Enterprise you can begin connecting your networks. The free version allows you to manage up to three social profiles, or you can upgrade to one of two premium versions to get 50 profiles, or unlimited. You can add streams of each network and multiple columns within each stream. Example: Twitter streams might have a “Mentions” column to show who is talking about you. Or a “Scheduled” column to show what you have in queue to be published.

You can find out demographic information You can compare Facebook pages to each other if you have more than
different pages you monitor and manage. Look for trends, see spikes and find out what received the most positive engagement. Print the report, share it, download it.
On the right of your Hootsuite dashboard is an icon that looks like a puzzle piece. That is your app directory. Many apps require the pro version or extra fees, BUT… There are 73 FREE apps!

There is a premium app which requires a an extra account outside of Hootsuite. It is called uberVU and the analytics you can get with uberVU are VERY detailed. Demographics Pro for Twitter is a little bit scary actually, it will give you very detailed information on each of your followers including what they are most likely to engage with. WOW!
