HISTORY OUR TRUSTED NAME Stewart and Catherine Wiley were the original founders of Camp Beaumont in 1980 which were day and residential camps in the UK for local and international students. The business eventually evolved into the Kingswood


  1. HISTORY OUR TRUSTED NAME Stewart and Catherine Wiley were the original founders of Camp Beaumont in 1980 which were day and residential camps in the UK for local and international students. The business eventually evolved into the Kingswood Group in 1991. Today Kingswood UK operates out of 19 centers and services 150,000 children a year. Kingswood UK has been the United Kingdom’s #1 summer language camp operator for 30 years! The new generation, Oliver and Christine Wiley, founded Kingswood Canada in 2017 to establish the North American division of Kingswood UK. They partnered with Canada’s most prestigious private schools to give international students the best possible experience with all of the background and knowledge of the trusted family name.

  2. PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS AGES 7 - 17 Unique Canadian educational experiences. The “Junior English and Multi Activity” Program is geared for students ages 7-12 years old. In this program, they will learn essential language skills while taking part in recreational and social activities and excursions. Students will experience Canadian culture in a safe environment with a smaller student-to-counselor ratio than our other program. The “Global Teen” Program is geared to students ages 13-17 years old. Here, they will learn conversational English skills with peers in small group project interaction. They will also take part in confjdence and leadership-building exercises as well as immersive experiences in daily Canadian culture. These experiences are designed to ensure the safety of all our students.

While attending Kingswood Study Camp’s University and College Summer Programs students will improve their English, make lifelong friends, take part in skill-building activities, and explore the wonders of Canada’s most natural and eco-friendly province. These experiences have been proven to effectively enhance future careers.

  5. EDUCATION INCORPORATING COMPREHENSIVE “ENGLISH IN ACTION” CURRICULUM

  6. ENGLISH CLASSES Kingswood’s summer programs include 20 hours of English classes per week , 4 hours every morning from Monday to Friday. Students are assigned classes based on English abilities and age. Oral skills are emphasized through conversation, while teachers also include grammar, reading and writing skills. The curriculum designed by Kingswood strictly follows the syllabus of “Language Canada” with weekly themes for each programming. These may include Canadian heritage and history, multiculturalism, ecosystems and leadership through English interaction.

  7. INTERACTIVE CLASSES Activities & Cultural Experience Kingswood teachers are Language Canada certifjed with backgrounds teaching ESL in different parts of the world. Through interactive classes and activities, they focus on increasing oral communication in English in 20 hours of class per week .

OUTINGS AND EVENTS Students will visit local world renowned landmarks and experience superb attractions . they will take part in activities such as canoeing, hiking, horseback riding and whale- watching. There is a minimum of one full day and two half day excursions each and every week. On the evenings when students are on campus, they will be encouraged to take part in games and activities that emphasize team-building and s elf-refmection through conver - sational English .

  9. As part of the Kingswood curriculum, counsellors oversee outings and events after the school day is done. Our counselors come from a variety of backgrounds, including education, recreation and counseling, they are trained and supervised within the British Columbia Summer Camp Association guidelines. With core Kingswood values such as kindness and patience, they are well-equipped to work with youth from around the world. Counsellors live on-site to provide 24-hour care and supervision.
