ALL WORK MUST BE EMAILED TO ME SBAKER@STPHILIPBENIZI.ORG Do not text me, What’sApp me, or DM your work. I will not accept it. You can do it in Google docs, just type it in an email or attach a document. If you want me to add your email to the list, type it in the chat.

If you need 1st Communion or Baptism, please contact me. Archdiocese requires 2 years prior to the year you start Confirmation.

If you think this will be a great experience, you are right If you think it will be boring and terrible, you are right. You will have to do things you don’t want to do. That’s life. It’s your choice to decide how it goes. We cannot control the actions of others. But we can control our reactions to them.

Attendance and such

• One Sunday a month (do not text me on Sunday asking for the link)
• Weekly assignment
• Small group once a month
• Small group questions
• Bible or catechism study assignment
• Monthly Family Project
• Each one counts as one ‘youth group’, you can only miss 5 through the year.

If you attend Sunday but do not do the assignment, its an absence.

• Once a month I will hopefully email you letting you know what you got credit
• for. If you turn everything in, show up to everything, and put effort into your

work you will get full credit. It is easy, I promise.

Assignments

• Work and information will be emailed out weekly. Due dates will be

in the emails and mentioned on Sunday youth groups and small group sessions.

• I will not be following up or reminding anyone to turn their work in.
• Put some effort into the work. I don’t need essays, but I need to see

you thought about the assignment. I may return your work and ask you to redo, so do it right the 1st time.

• All PowerPoints, documents, and other material will be on the

Small Groups

• If you have not picked a small group, send me your top three choices.
• There are a limited number of spaces.
• Session A: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
• Session B: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
• Session C: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
• Dates: September 12th, October 10th, November 7th, December 12th, January 9th,

February 13th, March 13th, April 17th, May 8th

• Session D: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
• Session E: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
• Session F: 1:00 pm - 2:30pm
• Dates: September 19th, October 17th, November 14th, December 19th, January 23rd,

February 20th, March 20th, April 24th, May 15th

Small Group Continued

• Sunday night after youth group I will email out the assignments and

small group questions.

• You must send me you answers to the small group questions before

your small group. Again, I will not be following up or reminding you.

• I am not looking for short essays, I want to see that you have thought

about the question and have jotted some things down.

• This is to help the small group time be used more efficiently
• I am begging you to speak at least once in your small groups, this is a

skill that will benefit you later in life, TRUST ME. So work on it in a safe space. Please.

Paperwork

• There are four forms I need to have by the end of September
• I will be emailing them as fillable PDFs. All your parent must do is

type in the info and send it back to me via email.

• If I do not get the forms, you will not be allowed to join us for YG in

October.
