July Primary Runoff Elections

  • A candidate who gets >50% +1 votes, wins the election. Otherwise,

the top 2 candidates with the most votes go to a Runoff Election.

  • You must choose 1 of the political parties (Democratic or

Republican) to vote, but not both parties. There is no restriction on which party you choose. Texas follows the “Open Primary” election.

  • What you vote in the Primary Election does not affect you in the

November General Election. You can choose any candidates of any party.
