- Florida has reconnected two marshes,
Area 2 (400 acres) in 2005 and Area 4 (660 acres) in 2007 resulting in 11 percent return of the drained marsh habitat to the major system.
- With completion of the reconnection of
the Area 3 (1,000 acres) the lake will have a total net gain of 21 percent of the vital marsh habitat reconnected.
