BUDGET AND SCHEDULE CONSTRAINTS

The grant comes with specific constraints that the project needs to comply with.

  • Budget: $320,000 is available for construction.
  • Schedule: All work – design and construction –

must be completed by the end of June. Great ideas that don’t fit these budget and schedule constraints can always be considered for a future project.

EXISTING CONDITIONS: TRAFFIC VOLUMES

Traffic Counts Conducted in January

  • AM Peak Hour: ~700 southbound through

vehicles per hour

  • PM Peak Hour: ~600 northbound through

vehicles per hour

What does this mean?

  • A single through lane has a capacity of approximately 800

vehicles per hour when separate left-turn lanes are provided

EXISTING CONDITIONS: PARKING

  • Metered parking provided on both sides of the

road

  • Highest demand exists around Hamilton Avenue,

with demand tapering off as you go north and south

  • Many driveways north of Evergreen limit on-
