We are happy to announce the first ever CMC Finland Cup Open International for Hair, Nail Art Championships in Helsinki, October 2019. The competition is directed by the esteemed organization CMC Confederation Mondiale Coiffure, which has been working with the World Hair Championships in Europe for over 80 years. The President of the CMC is Mr. Antonio Budget and the vice president Mr. Vazha Mhitaryan. We now invite talented individual stylists and teams from Europe, Russia, the Baltic and CIS countries to enter the International Finland Cup Championship and to demonstrate their skills. Registration is now open to all country organizations and individuals on an individual basis. The Championship Competition is organized and directed by the non-commercial Finnish Assossiation Hius - ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö regditsered and operating in Finland. The association´s president Mrs Alina Pikarevska and the vice president Mrs. Svetlana Kiljunen are both winners of several CMC Championships as well as creators of the Callisto Production Finland brand. The CMC Finland Cup offers an excellent opportunity for all qualified stylists, professional hair and nail

• rganizations and teams working in the beauty industry to demonstrate their creativity, skills and talent

and to represent their countries and companies as well as to advance their professional prestige, find new interesting contacts and market their own achievements. Finland boasts one of the world´s best social welfare systems. It has a thriving economy and is well-known for its successful educational system and advanced programs in technology and medicine. Finland scores highly on the World Environmental Performance Index and is also renowned for having hosted many top security international meetings. Tourism and business travelers enjoy high quality hospitality services while visiting Finland. We are confident that all participants in the CMC International Finland Cup Championship will experience an inspiring competition and have unforgettable time in Helsinki City.

Jury: The official committee of Wise Men includes the presidents and vice presidents of CMC, World and Europe Champions of CMC from different countries. Judges assess competitors in the form of open judging. All competitors have equal rights and chances to win. The CMC Finland Cup is an official event to promote the hairdressing and beauty industry, to define new trends and directions in the industry and to advance participants´ professional skills. Event organizers will do their best to make the competition inspiring and attractive for all competitors, teams, organizations and the audience.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

• Rules and regulations for the members of Local and International Hairdressing Championships in Finland are organized and

conducted by the Hius - ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association.

• The competition is held at the “I love me” fairs, at Messukeskus convention center in the period from 18th of October till 20th of

October 2019, Helsinki, Finland.

• Registration is now open to all country organizations and on an individual basis.
• Competitors may enter two categories – Ladies- Senior and Junior Contest and Gentlemen Hairstyle in Junior and Senior

Contest.

• Competitors in Junior Tests must be a minimum of 18 years old and have less than 2 yearsʼ work experience in hairdressing.

In addition, competitors in Junior Tests have to present a professional diploma or a certified document to confirm their education.

• Competitors in Senior Tests must have more than 2 yearʼs work experience.
• The jury of the International Hairdressing Championship Finland is appointed by the Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien

Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association. All members of the jury are official representatives of the International CMC Organization, esteemed professional stylists and also nominees of International Hairdressing Clubs and Championships. During judging, the jury must be able to see the complete hairstyle, general impression of the work, color and cut. The judging is held in an open voting mode. The final decision of the jury is not subject to appeal.

• Penalties: Infringements of competition rules and non-observation of instructions concerning the competitions will be penalized

by the Committee of Wise Men according to the penalty point chart in force. The competitors will be informed of their penalty points, the maximum penalty points being 3 points for each mistake and for not observing the competition instructions.

REGISTRATION RULES AND CONDITIONS

• Registration: The registration file must be filled correctly and include the names of the competitors and the addresses of the
• rganizations/individuals and email addresses. The Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association will check all
• registrations. If registrations are correct, the members will receive an invoice. 

• All participants must fill in the registration form and give permission to use photos and video materials of the competition process,

works and models. Participants must also sign the confirmation on the authority of the material.


• Upon registration, it is mandatory for all competitors – organizations, individuals and models to sign a release and they are solely

responsible as competitors to send the Competitor and Model Release. The Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association and the host country shall not be liable for any damage resulting from non-submitting of the Competitor and Model Release.


• Participation fee: 100 Euro plus VAT (24%) for each category of participation. It is possible to receive a discount, if the competitor

competes in more than one category. After the registration is accepted, competitors will receive an invoice by email.


• Payments: all payments are to be completed by bank transfer to the account of the Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö

Finland Association. The competitors are responsible for all bank fees and taxes related to the payment and they are to ensure that the Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association receives the precise amount mentioned on the registration

• form. If this is not the case, participation in the competition will be refused.

• Competitors shall provide at their own expense all their own items and materials connected to the competition process (including

materials, tools, models, flight tickets, accommodation and food).


• Disclaimer: The Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any

competition deemed necessary at its sole and exclusive discretion. CMC reserves the right to cancel any competition, if the number

• f competitors is less than 3 persons. The member organizations that have registered competitors will be informed of the decision

after the official registration is completed. The registration fees of the cancelled tests will be refunded.


• In case an individual competitor(s) are found to have acted against these rules, either during or after the event, the competitor(s)

concerned will be disqualified and the champion title will be withdrawn. The competitor shall give back all the award(s) given. In addition, a sanction will be attributed to the competitor.

Ladies – Evening Style

Mannequin Head or Live Model The competitors proceed on the stage with their modelsʼ / mannequin heads' hair straight and dry. Hair of models/mannequin heads can be prepared or curled in advance. After the passage of the Wise Men checking that the modelsʼ / mannequin heads' hair is prepared the right way, the General Commissioner calls the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. Hair length - the hair must be shoulder length or longer. After work, the finished hair of models/mannequin heads can be lifted up. Competitors should paint hair of models/mannequin heads in advance before competition. Color – there is no limit of color shades. Styling Tools – all styling tools are allowed Make-up – evening style Products – it is possible to use natural hair tresses but not more than 1/3 of the head surface

Model Look – evening dress

Forbidden – usage of artificial or natural hair support systems, metal or plastic hair support constructions, color sprays, massive accessories, which cover more than 1/3 of hair surface. Any decorations used for hairstyle support are also forbidden. It is possible to use only decorations made of different materials to style the look. Jury – the jury will judge the color technique, color purity and the general impression of the hairstyle. The costume and make-up will gain the score for this nomination. It is also possible to have penalty points in case of costume and make-up absence or unsuitability to nomination. Time – 40 minutes for Seniors and 60 minutes for Juniors Scores – the maximum points are 30 and the minimum points 24

Ladies – Bridal Style

Mannequin Head or Live Model The competitors proceed on stage with their modelsʼ / mannequin heads' hair straight and dry. The hair of models/mannequin heads can be prepared or curled in advance. After the passage of the Wise Men who will check that the modelsʼ / mannequin heads' hair is straight, the General Commissioner calls the competitors back to their mirrors and starts the competition. Hair length - the hair must be shoulder length or longer. Competitors should paint hair of models/mannequin heads in advance before the competition. Color – only natural shades and transitions in Ombre style Styling Tools – all styling tools are allowed Make-up – bridal style Products – it is possible to use extra hair and also natural hair tresses but not more than 1/3 of the head surface

Model Look – bridal dress

Forbidden – usage of artificial or natural hair support systems, metal or plastic hair support constructions, color sprays, massive accessories, which cover more than 1/3 of hair surface. Any decorations used for hairstyle support are also forbidden. It is only possible to use decorations made of different materials to style the look. Jury – the jury will judge the color purity and the general impression of the hairstyle. The costume and make-up will not gain the score for this

Ladies – Salon Style

After the passage of the Wise Men who will check that the modelsʼ / mannequin heads' hair is straight, the General Commissioner calls the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. Hair length - the hair length must not be less than 8 cm. Color – minimum two shades Styling Tools – all styling tools are allowed Products – it is possible to use extra hair and also natural hair tresses, styling products and cosmetics Forbidden – color sprays and wigs Jury –the Jury will judge the general impression of the cut, style and color. During judging, the judges must be able to see the complete hairstyle including the top. Time – 40 minutes for Seniors and 60 minutes for Juniors Scores - the maximum points are 30 and the minimum points 24.

GENTLEMEN – OLD SCHOOL STYLE

Age of competitor – not less than 15 years old Live Model The hair of the model must be dry. After the passage of the Wise Men who will check that the hair of the models is dry, the General Commissioner calls the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. Hair length – top hair length not shorter than 5 cm, side and back hair length is about 2 cm before cut, must be clear transition from short hair to long one. Neck, ear and chin line cannot be prepared in advance. Color – only natural without any shades Instruments – only scissors Styling Tools – the creating of style with a hairdryer and flat hairbrush is compulsory Final Version of Style – classic look in Old School Style corresponding to all the requirements of Old School cut. The transition on the sides and back of the head can be low, high or in the middle. Cut back line must be done in classic way. Forbidden – usage of electric hair machines, artificial hair and color sprays. It is possible to use the contour machine just to cut the beard. Jury – the jury will judge the general impression of the hairstyle, also the cutting technique Time – 50 minutes Scores - the maximum points are 30 and the minimum points 24.

GENTLEMEN – SALON STYLE

Age of competitor – not less than 15 years old Live Model Hair length – hair length minimum 6 cm and 2 cm from the both sides Color –any shades Instruments – any kind of hair scissors, hair machines and shavers Styling Tools – any tools. Hair graduation is possible from 0 mm. Products – any products for styling Final Version of Style – classic look in Old School Style corresponding to all the requirements of Old School cut. The transition on the sides and back of the head can be low, high or in the middle. Cut back line must be done in a classic way. Forbidden – artificial hair and wigs Jury – the jury will judge the general impression of the hairstyle, also the cutting technique Time – 40 minutes for Seniors and 60 minutes for Juniors Scores - the maximum points are 30 and the minimum points 24.

INDIVIDUAL NOMINATION

FULL FASHION LOOK

Elegant Modern Style with elements of all modern trends of fashion industry Nomination takes place near the mirrors with numbers. Competitors will receive the card with individual number of the model. A Look without a number will not be scored. No limits for age and experience of competitors. It is possible to use teenage models but only under adult responsibility. The competitor is prepared and has thought over the final look of the model in advance. Competitors can have their own team of professionals (stylists, hairdressers, cosmetologists and fashion designers) with the creating

• f the final look.

Hairstyle – the total look of the model must be modern, the cut or hairstyle must have all details of current fashion trends Makeup – must be in harmony with the total Look Costume – must be modern and fashionable Jury – the jury will judge the total look including the make-up and costume, also the general impression of presentation and style Time – 5 minutes to prepare the Look on the stage, to fix the model hairstyle and to pose for presentation Scores – the maximum points are 30 and the minimum points 24

PHOTO NOMINATION

Competitors will be given the numbers of their working places. The numbers are placed on the Wise Men Table for judgement. Jury – the jury will judge the total model look and style, also the hairstyle, make up and costume. Scores – the maximum points are 30 and the minimum points 24. It is possible to use the highest scores like 30, 29, 28 only once!

COMPETITION AWARDS SYSTEM

• 1st Place competitors are awarded with Gold Cup, Gold Medal and Diploma.
• 2nd and 3rd Place competitors are awarded with Silver Cup and Diploma.
• 4th and 5th Place competitors are awarded with Diploma.
• All competitors awarded from 1st-6th places have the possibility to participate in the CMC Europe Competition 2019 and in the CMC

World Competition 2019.

• All competitors will have a Diploma of Hairdressing Competition Finland at the end of the competition.
• Competition winners can be awarded with an additional cash reward 11,11% of material reward. In this case, the Hius- ja

Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association will take prior to the Award Ceremony a certain amount of the winner´s cash reward as tax (10%) to transfer the money to the Finnish Tax Office account. Physical persons will not transfer the tax by themselves

• n the basis of the Certificate of Value of Material Rewards.

The Certificate is given by the competition organizer.

• The Award Ceremony and all the results of the competitions take place after the Wise Men make the final judgements on the Main

Stage.

• 1st place Competitors of the International Finnish Championship have the right to enter the National CMC Finnish Team for free and

to participate in all CMC Europe and World Competitions.

General Instructions and Conditions Photo on Cover Page of Fashion Magazine The work can be done by an individual competitor or a team. The jury will judge the whole composition, the look of the model and the hairstyle. The make-up and manicure are judged separately. The participants of the competition must send 3 photos:

• Front view close-up of manicure
• Front view close-up of make-up
• Final photo with the view of the model – Total Look.

Total Look must be creative, fashionable and stylish. It must meet all the requirements of a cover page of a fashion magazine. Technical requirements: vertical material and photo resolution 1920x1080, 500dpi. All works must be sent by email: haircup2019@gmail.com All the links from Google Drive must also be included.

Ladies - Elegant Podium Style Mannequin Head or Live Model Hair length - the hair must be shoulder length or longer. Competitors can be juniors and masters. All participants must be prepared to make the art evening hairstyle paying attention to the total look of the model. The style must not look like free hairstyle. The hair in style can be fully raised and only 25% of the total look can look like free loose hairstyle. The competitors proceed on stage with their models / mannequin heads. The models´/mannequin heads´ hair can be prepared and brushed back. After the passage of the Wise Men checking that the modelsʼ / mannequin heads' hair is brushed the right way, the General Commissioner calls the competitors back to their mirrors and starts the competition. Color – one or several shades. The final hairstyle of the model must look harmonic and fashionable. Styling Tools – participants can use scissors only for cutting hair tips. All styling tools are allowed, including instruments for hair curling and straightening. It is also possible to use special additional hair tresses. Forbidden – usage of color sprays, artificial or natural hair support systems. It is not possible to use more than two decorations made of different materials to style the look. Decorations must be removed easily at any time upon the Wise Men request. Jury – the jury will judge the general impression of the hairstyle, also the design and creativity. Time – 40 minutes for Seniors and for Juniors
