Eligibility

Co-Innovate Support
Innovation Workshops
To assist Small Businesses:
- By increasing their understanding of what innovation is;
- To understand the importance of innovation within their own
business;
- How to approach innovation;
- To explain what bespoke innovation supports Co-Innovate can offer
small business.
Business & Innovation Assessments
Support is FREE of Charge
- A specialist consultant will conduct a Business Health Check on each SME on the programme and identify
suitable supports for each business.
- An Innovation Audit where Innovation Experts will assess each company’s innovation capabilities and
advise on a suitable approach to innovation.
- A Benchmark of each business will be provided, tailored interventions identified & bespoke action plans
created.
Development of Innovation Capability
FREE of charge to your Business
- An Innovation Advisor will work with each business to
agree a Bespoke Innovation Action Plan.
- Based on the agreed Action Plan – each business will
receive up to 10 days specialist innovation advice.
Cross-border Business to Academic Institute Project
- 12 month support to undertake an R&I project - new product/process development;
- Funding to support a Project Manager’s salary (up to 50% funding of a maximum €37,500 salary);
- 4 days consultancy support to develop each company’s project application;
- 24 consultancy days provided by each project’s Academic Partner to support the Project Manager in the
implementation of each Business to Academic project.
Business to Business & Cluster Partnerships What support is available?
- Up to €7,000 funding to complete a full
business plan application;
- Up to 50% funding for a maximum €300,000
towards an innovative 24 month business to business project; or
- Up to 50% funding for a maximum €600,000
project will be made available to support each Research & Innovation Collaborative Cluster Project.
What will a B2B/Cluster look like?
- B2B partnerships must involve one business in NI/Scotland*
and one business in the border counties of ROI.
- Clusters must involve multiple partners including a Research
Centre.
- Must be cross-border and 24 month duration;
- Must have a commercial benefit for each partner.
- Each partner must have the capacity to support a 24 month
project and match fund it.
