Technology Policy

  • Always use school-provided technology

appropriately.

  • Personal technology devices should be off

and out of sight unless the teacher gives EXPLICIT permission.

  • This applies to headphones, earbuds,

cell phones, mp3 players, Bluetooth speakers, etc.

  • Until a teacher tells you otherwise,

assume personal tech devices should not be visible during class.

SHS Parent Organizations

  • School-wide, Parent-led organizations:
  • There are two parent-led, school wide organizations that work together to support the

students, teachers, and families of Sammamish High School. They are the PTSA and STEPS.

  • PTSA: Parent-Teacher-Student Association. Part of the largest nationwide child

advocacy organization. PTSA runs the staff appreciation events, ACT/SAT Test Prep Classes, Reflections, and coordinates legislative advocacy.

  • STEPS: Sammamish Totems’ Enrichment Program Supporters. A grant awarding,

fundraising organization. STEPS fundraisers, awards grants to SHS programs, clubs, and athletics, administers the concessions sales at SHS sports events, and Spirit Wear.
